Yesterday the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) handed down its decision to refuse the Hume Coal Project. After 10 years this is a sad result, we are disappointed to say the least.
Over 700 people wanted to come and work for Hume Coal, we’re sorry that that doesn’t look like a possibility now. We’d like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and their belief in the Project.
We are reviewing the documentation that the IPC have presented and seeking advice from the company’s owners. We will make a more formal announcement when we have heard from them.
